Petrified wood is said to help gain balance within oneself. It was believed by some Native Americans to have protective properties as well as bringing good luck.

Pyrite or ‘fool’s gold’ derives its name from the Greek ‘pyros’ meaning ‘fire,’ because sparks would fly from it when it hit another mineral. It is believed to help emanate a more positive attitude.
